Was Done For 143 Canadian Cities and Towns

The survey was conducted by Bush-Waterhouse Communications as a public service to the Canadian Cable Industry: Released 15, April, 2002

In summary, recently published statistical data from the 2001 Canadian Census have allowed us to provide a more accurate picture of the annual losses to the Canadian Cable Industry. Due to of this major white-collar crime, we now believe that the Canadian Cable Industry is loosing close to $1.16 Billion annually, and not the $750 million previously reported in our 2001 industry survey which was based on 1999 Census data.

In turn, it represents a loss of over $81 million to the Federal Government’s Goods and Services Tax
